Starting School Anxiety?
Many parents deal with some sort of anxiety themselves or from their child when it comes to starting school for the first time. Here are some tips to help you and your child deal with any
starting school jitters.
Practice Makes Perfect – participate in the new family Meet & Greet on Monday August 19th. If you can’t make that schedule a time with Ms. Shanna so you can come in for a few minutes with your child before dropping him or her off for the first time.
Cut the Drop Off Time – trust the teachers that your child will transition more quickly if you make the morning routine quick and simple! You (and your child) are not the only ones to be
Nervous – Talk with your child about his or her feelings and remind them that it is okay to feel nervous, but soon it will change to excitement!
Find Friendly Faces – talk about children and teachers your child already knows!
The staff at DPP is excited to embark on this incredible journey with you and your child! Here’s to a great school year.
